Dyson is a stud!!

Every parent loves to see their kids succeed and do amazing things and for us it was just one of those days.  Dyson, who is 5 got up today in Primary and delivered an amazing talk.  The most awesome thing about it is that he did it all by himself and he read it without any kind of help.  We know he is only five, but it wasn't like it was a "See Spot Run" book.  Kalisa and I are convinced that Dyson is already reading at a higher level than either one of us did when we were in third or fourth grade.  So I guess I just wanted to be a proud Dad and brag a little bit about my little buddy.  Great job Dyson, we love you so much and are so proud of you.

Dyson Lish - Primary Talk - January 24, 2010

I am a child of Heavenly Father who loves me.

God is the father of my spirit.

Before I was born, I lived with Heavenly Father.

He created my spirit and sent me to earth to receive a body.

This was part of his plan of happiness.

Heavenly Father gave me earthly parents to love, protect and teach me.

The primary song "I am a child of God" helps me understand my Heavenly Father:

 "I am a child of God" -

"And he has sent me here"

"Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear"

"Lead me, guide me, walk beside me, help me find the way"

"Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday"

It makes me very happy to know that I am a child of God.

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus loves me.

I know that the Holy Ghost can help me make good choices.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

YEAH...Dax is potty trained!

Well, I am FINALLY starting to feel better so I decided it was time
to get Daxton potty trained and have a break from changing diapers before the next one comes.  (By-the-way, I am pregnant and due July 3rd.  We are extremely excited for baby #4!)
I was surprised at how fast he picked it up.  He is a little more wild than the other two, so I was worried.  He is hilarious!  The other day he said, "Mama poop" so I put him on
the toilet and then left.  A couple seconds later he is saying "Mama Mama"  I go
back in and say "Did you poop?"  he nods his head and claps and then says, "WHOA!"
Sure enough he had gone.
